Fulfillment Execution¶

operational fulfillment

Orders can be picked, packed, shipped, delivered and collected through the physical fulfilment chain.

Executes the physical or digital steps required to fulfil an order commitment: pick, pack, label, dispatch, track, deliver, and collect. Supports warehouse-based, store-based, and drop-ship fulfilment models. Provides fulfilment status events that order management and customer-facing tracking surfaces consume.

`confirm-picking`	Confirm Picking	Marks a picking task as completed, recording actual quantities picked and any exceptions (short-picks, substitutions).
`pack-shipment`	Pack Shipment	Records the packing of a shipment, capturing parcel dimensions, weight, and item-to-parcel mapping.
`ship-order`	Ship Order	Dispatches a packed shipment to a carrier, generating a tracking number and triggering the shipment-dispatched event.
`deliver-order`	Deliver Order	Records the successful delivery of a shipment to the customer's address, closing the delivery milestone.
`collect-order`	Collect Order	Records the customer's collection of a click-and-collect or BOPIS order from the designated store location.

`delivery-slot-released`	``	A delivery slot has been released and its capacity restored.
`delivery-slot-expired`	``	A delivery slot has expired without being fulfilled.
`shipment-created`	``	A carrier booking has been confirmed and a shipment record created with a tracking number.
`picking-task-created`	``	A warehouse picking task was generated from a fulfillment order and assigned to a pick path.
`picking-task-completed`	``	All lines in a warehouse picking task have been confirmed as picked, enabling the shipment packing stage.
