Business Processes¶
A Business Process in UC-BoK is an end-to-end sequence of capabilities and services that delivers a measurable outcome to a customer or business actor. Each process spans multiple domains and is formally modelled in catalogs/processes.yaml.
PROC-001 Ontology¶
Processes are classified into four archetypes:
| Archetype | Purpose | Trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Transactional | Create a commercial commitment — order confirmed and payment authorised | Customer or associate action |
| Fulfilment | Execute the physical movement of goods | Domain event (e.g. order-routed) |
| Post-Sale | Resolve post-delivery actions — returns, exchanges, refunds | Customer or associate action |
| Engagement | Build or deepen the customer relationship | Customer action |
Each process entry specifies:
